My Bio

My name is Kara.  I’m 33 and a stay at home mom to a 12 year old boy.  My husband and I decided to take the plunge and follow our dream to live in the country.  In March 2011 we left our families and everything we knew in Omaha, NE and moved 400+ miles to 5 acres in the country near Branson, MO.  We are both completely new to all of this, so you can follow along with our learning process in my blog.  Eventually we want to get to be as self sufficient as we possibly can.  We live with two Australian Shepherd dogs, three indoor cats, and a small flock of chickens.
